Christmas is a holiday that many Christains and non-Christians celebrate. This holiday originated in Rome. This holiday was first celebrated on December 25, 336.  This holiday was celebrated because people believe that Jesus is the light of the world so the early Christians thought that this was the right time to celebrate the birth of jesus. Three traditions that I do are caroling, building a snowman( if there is enough snow), and making a lot of hot chocolate. Some traditions that have changed over time. Christmas was originally celebrated exclusively at public gatherings , but changed in  the early-19th century, when families started celebrating on their own. Three random facts that I didn’t know were that Christmas trees were first used by ancient Egyptians and Romans, Santa Claus was known as Sinterklaas in Dutch, and Santa did not always dress up in red.
