On February 21, 1945, Cheyenne wasn’t feeling good, so she went to the nurse. Nurse Markus gave her an ibuprofen, and it made her stomach hurt even more. She started to get dizzy and passed out. Nurse Markus went to get the principal and call her parents. When they got back, she was gone. They looked everywhere. They saw a unicorn in the cafeteria at Cheyenne high school. They called out, “Cheyenne!” She looked. That’s when they knew Nurse Markus gave her the wrong pill. They had to take her to the hospital, and her mom, Lucy, was yelling at Nurse Markus for giving her daughter the wrong pill.
