I was driving to the mall with my aunt after we left my mom’s house because my aunt wanted me to stay with her for the week. We arrived at the mall and decided we were hungry, so we went to the food court and got Chick-fil-a. Once we were done, we started walking to H&M. I started ticing a lot….like a lot. Then, I started shaking a bunch, like if I was scared or having an anxiety attack?! Then, all my tics started combining and attacking me at once! A bunch of people just stood around and watched as I got held down on one of the black massage chairs by my aunt.
A couple people came up and helped my aunt hold me down, also trying to get me to calm down. Someone volunteered to drive my aunt and me to the ER. My aunt gave her the keys, and she drove us to the closest one, which was not too far away. I was hyperventilating because I didn’t know what was happening, and it was my first time ever having a tic attack. We arrived at the ER, and I got carried to the room. It was nothing but blank beige walls with cabinets at the top touching the ceiling.
The last thing I remember is the doctors surrounding me and calming me down with anesthesia. Then, I was out. I woke up and was looking around. My aunt was sitting there. She said, “Are you okay?”
“Yea, I’m okay,” I said. Then, I got in the car and could barely walk. I was super drowsy, too. We drove back to her house, and we both slept from our long day.
