The Outsiders House by Lea

Friday night, my Dad thought it would be fun to go to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and go to the Outsiders house and do some other things. We left around 9:00 to 9:30.

We got there but only my Dad and I went in because it was 10 dollars per person. When we went in, there was a guy that worked there, and he showed us around. First, there was a couch. They said that it was the most identical one they could find, same with the armchair. In front of the couch, there was a coffee table with a picture of Sodapop and Steve on it. They had a fake  cake and an empty beer bottle, and you could recreate that photo of Two-bit. There was an empty area with two glass cases. The case on the left had all the book covers, pictures, a switch blade, and some other stuff. The other glass case had Johnny’s jean jacket, jeans, and shoes. The person showing us around said that they bought to shoes from a Goodwill, then tried to get them dirty as possible. Then, Matt Dillion, the actor that plays Dally, took them around the neighborhood in a car and dragged them around. They said that they got all of Johnny’s things for $1,000. In the same case, they had Ponyboy’s jacket and the same shirt that he wore when he ran away to the church. In the bathroom, there was a towel hanging one the bathtub that Rob Lowe, the guy who played Sodapop, had signed. Also, there was the flannel that  he wore at the scene where Ponyboy got jumped.
In another room on the wall, they had Diane Lane’s, the girl that played Cherry, skirt on the wall, and it still had the Coke stain on it from when she threw the Coke at Dally. In the same room on the wall, they had Two-Bit’s Mickey Mouse shirt on the wall. The kitchen looks the exact same as it did in the movie. In the doorway of the kitchen, all the actors signed their names on the wall. In the gift shop where you paid to get in, they had Dally’s brown leather jacket in with his necklace. In the gift shop, there were these combs that looked like switchblades and magnets with the characters on them. Also on the walls, there were these framed pictures with the different book covers.
